Crap. I know this is an older post... but I _just_ ripped out my old Weather Monitor II a few months ago... and figured no one would want it. I kind of hacked it up and sent it to eWaste recycling.
To your comment about it being solid hardware... I think I installed it when I was 13. It had been running for 24 years with hardly any issues. I had replaced the temp probe when the thermistor died (and upgraded with one that had temp/humidity) about 17 years ago. The flash on the Weatherlink COM port had some corrupt blocks but still worked... and I think the weathervane and anemometer probably needed to be replaced or 'oiled' somehow. Rain gauge never had any issues at all (although I
really like the redesigned one I have now).
Anyway, that doesn't help you... but thought I'd comment about its reliability.
