Aaarggh! My brain is scrambled. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
If I have the fly-out menu, it looks like the web site map is produced by just "print"ing $FlyoutMenuText. Can someone explain what that is? Is it a site variable only existing while the site is active and generated by the flyout php file independently of the actual menu?
Using F12 on wxsitemap it appears to be eminently modifiable html and, although I can do it dynamically, I obviously don't have a clue where to apply those mods as any attempt to do that has corrupted the actual flyout menu.
All I really want to do, at least initially, is have the items in the map structure look like (i.e. as buttons) my actual flyout menu. Simplest thing in my mind is add a class to the line items and establish appropriate associated parameters in my css file.

Re: site map
The wxsitemap.php page uses just a bit of slight-of-hand to do the listing.
The flyout-menu.php program is called by top.php
so as you see, two globals are defined (and filled in by flyout-menu.php parsing the flyout-menu.xml)
The $FlyoutCSS is printed by top.php, the $FlyoutMenuText is printed by menubar.php directly.
The wxsitemap.php just prints $FlyoutMenuText inside the <div id="main-copy"> ... </div> area and so it shows as an ordinary list.
You can add styling to the <ul>, <li> and <a> entries by adding CSS to the page (no changes needed to flyout-menu.php) with stuff like:
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Ken
The flyout-menu.php program is called by top.php
Code: Select all
if (isset($SITE['flyoutmenu']) and $SITE['flyoutmenu'] or
isset($_REQUEST['menu']) and strtolower($_REQUEST['menu']) == 'test' ) {
$SITE['flyoutmenu'] = true;
$PrintFlyoutMenu = false;
$genDiv =false;
global $FlyoutCSS, $FlyoutMenuText;
include_once('flyout-menu.php');
print $FlyoutCSS;
}

Yes, thanks, it helps enormously and glad to see that you survived the ordeal (the heart attack that is, not the answering of my question).

Re: site map
Thanks again.
I may have gone a bit ott with it which, after all, is only a website map. I think this one is the only one I have ever looked at in my life before, lol.

When I get a chance, I'll clean it up a bit.
