Daily Reset Time...

Post by rookie1973 »

I would like to request an enhancment of a configurable daily reset time instead of the 9 am and 10 am times.
I report data to the NWS and they require a reset between 5 am and 7am.

And/Or...
The graphs could allow a time and date with a Maximum and Minimum based on the parameter selected.

And/Or...
The software could email me the data.

The NWS requires:
Daily Maximum Temp, Minimum Temp, Current Temp, Rainfall

Currently I have to go to CWOP or Wunderground and get two days worth of data and import it to Excel, then do a Min Max.

Thanks
Steve

Could you put enhancement requests here, please: https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/tracker.php then they won't get forgotten when I have a chance at looking at some of them. I think there's already a request for other daily reset times. Adding a new reset time to the current version of Cumulus is quite involved; if it's just those items that you need for the NWS and otherwise a midnight reset would be OK, then it may be easier to just maintain separate statistics for those items. Presumably other people would also find this useful for the NWS, I think someone else mentioned it quite recently.

My apologies for posting in the wrong place.
I did do a search and didn't find a posting on the topic.

Is there a way to move this post to the link provided?
OR
Should I just post it again in the location mentioned and reply here mentioning the posting link?

To answer the question:
Providing a file with Daily Max, Min Temp based on a time of my choice would be perfect.

I would set the clock on my computer to be 6 hours slow but I am worried those times would be uploaded to CWOP, Wunderground etc.

Thanks
Steve

Yes, the 'enhancement request' section is a plugin which allows posting without needing a separate registration, but isn't otherwise integrated with the rest of the forum, so there's no easy way to move posts.

I suspect that would be easier to provide than a full 'reset at any given time' facility. Please note that there are a lot of outstanding enhancement requests already and some of them are quite old. I do them as and when time allows.
