Date formats gone wonky... :(

Post by cc_rider »

Hi,
I've been using cumulus 193 for about 2 years without a problem, except occasional sensor lost messages in the log. Lately, though, things have gotten a bit more serious.. I'm getting messages to edit the data in dayfile.txt and may13log.txt files. When I interrogate those files, the errors become obvious, and I must repair them manually. The date formats now show with spaces instead of dashes. IE 05 05 13, instead of 05-05-13. This seems to cause cumulus to tremble and freak out! How do I go about getting Cumulus to behave again?

Regards,
Chris in Campbellford.

The date separator used in the log files is the one configured in the Windows regional settings, so it looks like yours has somehow been changed to a space. With a few exceptions, the separator can be any character, but a space is one that will definitely cause problems. If you think your Windows date separator isn't a space, then zip up the diags folder and attach it, and I'll see if I can see what's going on.
