Any tips or advice on running Cumulus on a network. It is only set up on one computer at the moment, but we would like to access the data from a copy of Cumulus on the other two machine.

Great software - by the way - only set it up this week as my Watson W-8681 arrived from Maplin on Wednesday.

Not possible, I'm afraid. I was going to put something like that in but haven't got around to it. Probably in Cumulus 2.

I'm in the same situation, I have Cumulus running on the server in the corner; if I want to look at the current conditions, I look on my web site, or go over to the server if there's something I want to look at that isn't on the web site. One possibility is to use some sort of 'remote access' - I've done that in the past and it worked quite well.

"Oh Well, never mind I'm sure I'll cope - as you are doing"

...... but network support would be a great feature, perhaps others here will find a work around.

I`m using Virtual Serial Port Emulator with my WMR928 station to run multiple software on weatherPC and also transmiting data to my working PC... Works great.

virtual serial port looks like a good solution to this frequently requested feature. can someone post a step by step how - to guide for installing and using it on a home network with cumulus?

I don't think Virtual Serial Port will be of any use to those of you with Fine Offset stations. It works well with the WMR-928 because they use serial ports, not USB, and they use a 'one way' protocol where all the software does is listen for the data arriving.

I use RemoteAdmin within the network to access the Eeebox which is used solely for Cumulus, and also use it to access the Eeebox when away from home.

I use my website to read my weather data at present. A lot more info than on the weather station itself or in the main Cumulus display on the data processing machine.

Hi Geoff :) :) Yes, it's me
