Website Information Not Displaying

Post by greenbroker »

I am using cumulus v1.9.3 (1059) with a Fine Offset (W1080) weather station which I upload to my website. Everything works fine except that yesterday::this month::this year::records::monthly records::trends are not displayed, just a blank pages for this information. Now::gauges::today display without the problem. The information is recorded within the .ini files locally. I have overwritten the .htm files on the server and just about ticked every box without success.

Could you give a link to your web site, please? Also, turn on ftp logging, wait until an update should have occurred, and then attach the ftplog.txt file here.

Cumulus is uploading the pages, and the server isn't giving any errors, but some of the pages are empty when retrieved from the server.

It doesn't look like the pages that are being sent are empty, but that's the first thing to check: look at the yesterday.htm file in the Cumulus web folder on your PC to make sure that the page is being created correctly. Assuming that's OK, the problem appears to be that the server is not replacing the files correctly, but for only some of the files. Try deleting the pages on the server which are appearing as empty, to see if the server is then able to handle them correctly on the next update.

I have looked at the yesterday.htm in the local Cumulus web folder and it is blank as per the website. Surprise, surprise, the web pages that do contain data are the ones that are viewable on the website.

From this url about zero byte files.

I thought it might be a utility file cleaner, but why only certain files. However, I have unchecked Windows Recent document from a utility.

It thinks that the template files are missing, for some reason:

By 'system' do you mean Windows?

Yes, I think those error messages originate in Windows. They're the ones that Cumulus receives when it tries to open the files. Assuming those files really have been deleted by something, you can get them back by running the installer again.

I have reinstalled over the current software with no problems. I will wait and see if the new files get created?

They should be there already, after the install. Then at the next web update Cumulus will be able to find them and produce the actual web pages from them.

I noticed after the reinstall that the local web folder has all the 'T' files in there. I'm sure they were not there earlier. Looking at my server folder, the only 'T' files present are the ones that are displaying. Should I copy the other 'T' files there, or will they get created?
