System been running great but today I got an error message saying:
Error on line 3704 of C:\Cumulus\data\Apr13log.txt: List index out of bounds (1)
On checking line 3704 in that file I cannot see anything obviously wrong.

Re: List index out of bounds
If you're using notepad, the problem may not be obvious. A better editor like notepad++ will usually show the problem clearly. That particular error usually indicates a blank line in the file. If you attach the file here I'll take a look.

Thanks - I viewed the file in a spreadsheet. File enclosed.

Yes, that's likely to mask any problems. Here's what it looks like in notepad++dennisl wrote:I viewed the file in a spreadsheet
You need to delete those 'NUL' characters. Sometimes the system seems to write those instead of the real data.
Notepad does show the problem, and the NULs appear as spaces, so you could use notepad to correct it. Best to do it with Cumulus stopped.

Re: List index out of bounds
Ok, first time for this.
Unfortunately, I didn't read my emails since Toolbox started emailing me every hour from 19:04+ on the 5th to tell me the red light was flashing.
When I logged on, just before 09:00 today, I found that the last timestamp on Toolbox was 04:04+. I was still receiving emails every hour so that was a bit confusing, unless of course there is some threshold that stops Toolbox logging it.
Anyway, I deleted the offending blank line. Or I thought I did because when I looked at the file again there were two sets of data on one line separated by a large gap. Strange because I would usually marquee select from the start of the blank line to the start of the next good line. Having removed that (replaced with CR) it looks fine. Whether I didn't actually delete the full blank line or whether there were extraneous blanks at the end of the previous good line, I don't know.
Out of interest, I think we had a power blip around the time that the blanks were generated. The system stayed up as my UPS did its job (unlike on many other occasions) but perhaps it had some effect that caused them to be generated.
