Google maps lat/long lines

Anyone else noticed that their Google maps display with latitude and longitude lines now? The only one of mine that doesn't show them now is supplied via Panoramio. It appears to have happened sometime within the last 24 hours or so. Frankly, I dislike them a lot. Having said this, I guess there is no cache/cookie et al type item that may be controlling it?

Oh, lol, without me doing anything, they have stopped displaying on the maps.
