Status page display corruption

Post by gluepack »

Is this something to do with the data file being in the process of updating?

After refreshing it displayed fine....

Is there any way of avoiding it?

Also, I often get a parse error on the CU tags file which is resolved by refreshing but I would rather not an end user see it as they may not bother to refresh and just assume there is a website problem and not come back.

I seem to remember that you have a somewhat slow internet connection and the status page issue may be caused by the template using an incomplete upload of CUtags.php.

I suggest you try using the alternative method for upload shown on http://saratoga-weather.org/wxtemplates ... umulus.php
Note: if you experience issues with your website showing PHP error messages like "unexpected end in CUtags.php", it may be due to a slow FTP connection such that your browser is accessing the website as Cumulus is uploading the CUtags.php, and has not yet finished.
To remedy this issue, you can upload your tags file to CUtags-new.php, make sure that CUtags.php is writable by PHP, and the V1.04 of top.php will automatically copy CUtags-new.php to CUtags.php to ensure you have a complete/fresh copy when your website is accessed.
Best regards,
Ken

Well, nominal 5 mbps and download is typically between 4.5/4.8 and upload 3.5/3.8 but, inevitably, there will be downward spikes.

Anyway, I've modified the WinSCP script to change the name in the remote directory, as suggested.

Thanks
