When I try to get the weather directory to display on web

Your URL is invalid:

http://www.stewpott.com/weather/

This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed
.

Anyone got any ideas

Your files aren't being upload to that location. Possibly you supplied the wrong path in the Cumulus setup - if you just supplied 'weather', your server may require something on the front of that - htdocs/ or wwwroot/ or similar.

That window can be a bit misleading as it doesn't show any errors. If you turn on ftp logging, a file called ftplog.txt will be created, and that will show a bit more of what's going on.

This part of the log file:

23:45:50:453 ! HighLevelAsync 0
23:45:50:453 ! HighLevelAsync done
23:45:50:454 01E389B0 TriggerDataSent 1672
23:45:50:490 >|550 weather: The system cannot find the file specified. |

Seems to indicate that the "weather" directory you've specified doesn't exist in your ftp server. Did you create it?

These errors for the rest of the files:

23:45:50:557 ! HighLevelAsync 0
23:45:50:569 01E389B0 TriggerDataSent 1672
23:45:50:602 >|550 index.htm: Access is denied. |

Seem to indicate you're trying to upload files to the default directory of your ftp server which it isn't allowing you to do. As steve suggested above, you may need to specify a wwwroot/ or htdocs/ folder or something in front of "weather".

Looks like the server is IIS? So possibly it's htdocs/weather that's needed. If you log in with an ftp client you should be able to determine the path to the weather directory.

If that's the view immediately after logging in, then assuming 'Website' is where the root of your web site is supposed to go, it looks like the path you need is Website/weather

It can be quite tricky getting the path right, and I can't give detailed instructions as all hosting is different. I've been thinking that we should set up a knowledgebase so that people can look up their provider and see how others did it. And maybe in Cumulus 2 I can add an ftp browser - a sort of mini ftp-client. Although I've said in the past that I don't really want to do this, it would make the initial setup much easier.

Which image(s) do you mean? Cumulus generates its own images (graphs etc) so you have no control over those.
and how do I remove the extra "weather " text on" Sarah's Weatherwatch Weather "
on my weather page
The 'word' weather is hard-coded into the supplied templates. It was really my intention that where you have "Sarah's Weatherwatch", that would be your location and so "... weather" would follow on nicely. To get rid of it, you'll need to edit the template files (indexT.htm etc).
