Cumulus froze - can't click in app

I've been using Cumulus successfully now for about a month and I happened to notice yesterday that it was sending the same values every 5 minutes to WU for about an hour before I caught it. It has done this once before and a simple reboot and unplug of USB to my Ambient Weather WS2090 reset it. But not this time. I rebooted my PC, unplugged the weather station, tried other USB ports and even uninstalled/reinstalled Cumulus 1.9.3 to no avail. In fact, when I launch the app, it attempts to download data and then freezes. I can't click anywhere in the app at all. I've run out of ideas and couldn't find anything in the forums. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bill

I suspect your station has stopped responding, as Fine Offset stations do, and needs a reset (remove USB and batteries). See http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Cumulu ... to_kill_it

There seems to be a condition which can occur when this happens where I suspect that a 'modal' window takes focus but is not displayed. If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I can confirm whether the problem is indeed that the station has stopped responding.

I guess that's the one thing I didn't try. It worked. I know you don't control this but I'll leave this wish here - I wish WU would catch up historical data from when it dropped off.

Thanks for your help.

Cumulus will do that to a certain extent, if 'catch up' is selected in the WU settings. However, it will only catch up with data that it downloads from the logger when it starts up, it doesn't cater for problems which prevented it reading data from the console while it was running (which is what you would need here).
