How much memory

Post by foxy1305 »

With the Maplin (Fine Offset) system there is a memory on screen. Is this showing the amount of memory that the station has for downloading or just the 'on board' memory.
To explain
When I plug the system into the pc it uploads all the info correctly but the memory circle on the screen doesnt change (disapear) I understand this just continually overwrites.
How long does the sytem usually take to complete a full circle and do I have to reset this each time I upload and do I have to upload before this reaches full or will some data be lost?

The display shows how many entries have been logged since the last time the display was reset; Cumulus doesn't reset it. It has no effect on the actual logging, the station just carries on logging, starting again at the beginning of memory when it gets to the end.

The stations that don't have solar sensors can hold 4080 entries. So, for example, if your station logging interval is 10 minutes, that's about 28 days. So if you happened not to have Cumulus running for longer than that period, you would lose data.
