Is there any way of getting rid of the vertical line down the left hand side of the main body (of the template) as it is generated to the height of that body content, as opposed to the margin area to the left of it.
Also, and it isn't critical but if someone knows it off the top of their head, any way I can easily make that left margin wider, color it (leaving the flyout area as is, color-wise at least) and have the body adjust to the remaining space (lol, without too much coding)?
Oh, you can see it at http://www.jerbils.info/saratoga/wxindex.php

Re: Vertical line between margin and body.
The vertical line is in the CSS with the border-left: statements. Remove them and the line disappears.
The left margin is controlled by two CSS -- the one in your main CSS (all the left-sidebar entries) and the one generated on the fly by flyout-menu.php. You can have the body expand to fill the space available in the browser by choosing the wide aspect (instead of narrow) for the template. Changing the width of the left-sidebar area is tricky due to the generated CSS by flyout-menu.php for the main menu display.
I suggest you use something like Firefox with Web Developer plugin (or equivalent in other browsers) to interactively 'tune' the CSS to get the desired effects.
Best regards,
Ken
Code: Select all
#main-copy {
color: black;
background-color: white;
text-align: justify;
line-height: 1.5em;
margin: 0 0 0 9.5em;
padding: .5ex 1em 1em 1em;
border-left: 1px solid rgb(216,210,195);
}
#main-copy-dark {
color: white;
background-color: black;
text-align: justify;
line-height: 1.5em;
margin: .1em 0 0 9.5em;
padding: .5ex 1em 1em 1em;

}

Re: Vertical line between margin and body.
Thanks for resolving the vertical bar issue.
I don't want the wide aspect. As there are, in theory, a distinct left margin and body, I just needed a better way of controlling them. Basically, so that I can give it a similar appearance to my main website. I will see if the Web Developer plugin is any help in that regard.
Thanks.
