Request from Steve - Weather Errors

Post by Craytor »

Here is my Diags.zip.
This time the stream worked from 8:30 PM (lastnight) to 1:00 PM today. The pressure on the console (the screen attached by usb) in abs, should it be rel?

Thanks,
TJ

You appear to have had some USB connection problems but unfortunately there is never enough information available to say any more than that. All I can think of to suggest is to make sure the USB cable is firmly connected, or try a different cable or a different USB port. It may even be a problem with the console.

Yes, the station should be set to 'rel', and you need to calibrate that 'rel' value on the console so it shows the correct sea-level pressure. But your console is reporting a very low 'absolute' pressure - around 680 hPa. That's either faulty or you are at very high altitude - around 10,000 ft?

Hmm...
Does the pressure have to be in hpa? By the way, EasyWeather isn't running at the same time... Also can I have EasyWeather run and have Cumulus get the info from EasyWeather?

Also I seen something about a reset download that resets the device, what is it suppose to do? Should I use it?

My elevation is also about 702. Could you take a look at my settings to see if they are right, and could the Atomic Clock on the Console mess anything up?
Thank,
TJ

That's just the unit that the station works in, but you can get the console to display any unit, and independently you can do the same in Cumulus. But having chosen units in Cumulus, if you change them, your stored data is no longer valid.

You can, by using the easyweather.dat file, but Cumulus doesn't work as well that way as it has less data to work with. And you have to run EW and Cumulus 24/7.

You can reset the console by removing the batteries and the USB cable. It might be worth a try if it's still apparently misbehaving.

They look OK.

Not that I'm aware of.
