Hi , i am new to this domain and software ,i would like to get your help please ..
I would like to get some documentation about configuring Cumulus to get real data measurement from my electronic work station (use of easy weather : uploading .dat file) ,this will make me more fimiliair to this application.
Also, i was wondering how does this application can make forecast depending on the input data and on wich weather model it relay to calculate these forecasts ??
Thanks for your replies..

I would like to get some documentation about configuring Cumulus to get real data measurement from my electronic work station (use of easy weather : uploading .dat file) ,this will make me more fimiliair to this application.
On the stations settings screen, enter a station type of 'Easyweather (using .dat file)' and below that enter the interval that you would like Cumulus to use for reading the file, and the location of the file. Note that support for this type of data input is limited; is there a reason you can't select 'Fine Offset' and connect Cumulus to the station directly (while not running easyweather)?

It uses a simple algorithm based on device called a Zambretti Forecaster - see

Hello
I would like to thank you again for your reply and i have also a question.
I did a search about the Zambretti Forecaster algorithm, and as i realized this algo is based on barometer reading, simple equations and permutation , Can this algorithm replace the accuracy of using weather models to generate forecast ??
Regards..

I wouldn't have thought so; it's a very simple algorithm using just a few parameters, running on a home PC. Some people have found it gives reasonable results.
If you want a 'real' weather forecasting system that you can run yourself, you could look at WxSim -
