Hi All:
Been using Ken’s excellent php templates for a few weeks now and wanted to integrate Mark Crossley’s SS gauges into the Saratoga templates. I was able to do that but found that the gauges, as displayed on the wxssgauges.php page were displaying as 2-1-2-1-2.
I wanted them to be 3x3x3 in the normal (narrow) display.
Like:
O O O
O O O
O O O
I couldn’t find a way to accomplish this globally using the narrow stylesheets, e.g. weather-screen-blue-narrow.css, (but I bet Ken knows a way) so I edited each of the narrow stylesheets on line 25:
#page {
margin: 20px auto;
color: black;
background-color: white;
padding: 0;
width: 800px; <<<HERE
Changing the 800px value to 850px.
That did the trick. I now get the gauges in a 3x3x3 format without having to use the Widescreen view.
No big deal, I guess but I’ve noticed that some of you also have the gauges displaying in the 2-1-2-1-2, etc format and might also like to change them.
Ken, I suspect you have a better way so feel free to enlighten us.

Re: Changing display arrangement of SS Gauges
Hi,
you can modify gauges.js
gaugeSize: 221
You can see here
http://www.meteotortosa.cat/meteo/wxgaugess.php
you can modify gauges.js
Code: Select all
scriptVer : '2.1.0 - 2013-01-25',
weatherProgram : 0, //Set 0=Cumulus, 1=Weather Display, 2=VWS
imgPathURL : '/liveview/images/', //*** Change this to the relative path for your 'Trend' graph images
oldGauges : '/liveview/gauges.htm', //*** Change this to the relative path for your 'old' gauges page.
forecastWidth : 450, //width of the forecast display (default value 550 pixels)
counter : 30, //download data counter (secs, default 60)
gaugeSize : 221, //size of gauges (default 221) - Odd numbers tend to render better than even
gaugeSizeMobile : 161, //size of gauges used on mobile devices (default 161)
graphUpdateTime : 5, //period of popup data graph refesh, in minutes (default 15)
stationTimeout : 3, //period of no data change before we declare the station offline, in minutes (default 3)
pageUpdateLimit : 15, //period after which the page stops automatically updating, in minutes (default 20),You can see here

Re: Changing display arrangement of SS Gauges
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, the "gaugeSize" variable isn't included in the current version, 2.3.0, of the SS gauges.
I'm sure the size can be set, I just don't know where anymore.
Gracias.

Re: Changing display arrangement of SS Gauges
The size is now defined purely in the HTML, this means you can easily vary the size of each gauge individually if you wish - maybe have large temperature and wind speed gauges and smaller solar UV gauges etc.
