WH1080 / Cumulus
Hello
As the topic says my memory is full but I want to back it up before deleting my one year of weather history, for comparing with coming years.
Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks in advance

The WH1080 memory is cyclic i.e. it automatically overwrites itself, you do not have to clear the memory.
Just plug it in to Cumulus and it will automatically add the additional data from the last time you plugged it in to today, assuming of course it hasn't already lost some data by overwiiting it.

You don't need to delete the memory, in fact you can't do it without completely resetting the station. Where exactly is the data that you want to back up? Have you only just started using Cumulus, so your logger contents aren't in Cumulus?

Sorry for being unclear.....
1. I want to backup/save/download/upload the memory from the station. So that I can compare with years later on. I´m going to do this every year.
2. I don´t know where the memory i stored.... I want you to tell me
Thank you for your replies

In the Cumulus data folder. The formats of the files are in the wiki:
http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Category:Log_Files
The 'monthly log files' and 'dayfile.txt' are the main ones. You can view the contents of them in Cumulus.

If you think the memory in a WH1080 is the same type of memory as a Flashdrive or Phone/Camera memory you have the wrong impression of the device. It will not appear on your computer as removable memory.
It can only be read by a compatible program such as Steve's Cumulus program or the EasyWeather program supplied with the unit both of which understand the format of the data and the protocol needed to download it. Both of these programs store the read memory data in proprietary formats to those programs, so I cannot see how you are going to achieve your goal of "So that I can compare with years later on" unless you write your own program to do so.

Thanks again
Ok, so what we got is "Averages and extremes" or graphs for the latest 12 hours?
I think there should be a lot more data in the memory.....

Yes, the dayfile in edit mode is somewhat what I´m looking for. However, I´d like to know if its possible to export the data to another program for making a graph.... maybe excel? Or if its possible to do this somehow with the Cumulus program?
Let me be more clear...
I want to compare the weatherstations info with my heating-system (which has a usb-logger). For example I want to see if it´s has been exceptionally windy, the heater i working harder to keep the inside temp... just an example.
Thanks again for your answer

The log files are in CSV format so Excel can read them (take copies so there's no danger of Excel screwing up the formatting of the originals). Cumulus also has "Select-A-Graph" to plot data from the monthly log files, but you can't use that to draw graphs of your central heating data.
