Best way to detect Davis station

Post by JacquesD »

Hi,

Since I have no Davis station to test it, I have to post that question:
There are quite a few Davis specific webtags, which one is best to detect a Davis accurately?

#DavisTotalPacketsReceived
#DavisTotalPacketsMissed
#DavisNumberOfResynchs
#DavisMaxInARow
#DavisNumCRCerrors
#DavisFirmwareVersion
... or other!

Thanks in advance,
JacquesD

Pure guess .....

... but I would have thought <#DavisFirmwareVersion> would return null as it doesn't exist ?

That one would be the logical choice, but I've seen cases where the firmware version can't be read. I guess 'total packets received' should always be non-zero for Davis stations.
