Cumulous Screen Frozen

Everything was fine until this evening when I tried to clear a sensor error (systray icon flashing). When I opened the Cumulus window and clicked anywhere I only go a single "doink" sound and no response. Not even the close window X worked. Had to force a close from right click in status bar. Also tried machine reboot.

Running version 1.9.3 but don't know build since the help button does not work. Tried zip backup of whole Cumulus folder, then uninstall and reinstall from existing download that was originally used. No joy. The behavior looks like a broken DLL but a complete reinstall did not fix it. After reinstall current data is all 0 but "Recent Extremes" are still there. That looks like no communication with station so I disconnected USB cable and reconnected. Still no joy. Keyboard commands (alt V, etc.) also do not work and just produce doink.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
Tom

Cumulus is probably opening a modal window to tell you that the station has stopped responding, but for some reason that window can't be displayed. See this recent thread - https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9568. If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look, but you probably need to reset the station as described in that earlier thread (remove USB cable and batteries). Does it say "Error: no response" in the status bar at the bottom of the Cumulus window?

There is a work around in version 1.9.3 for the station's "USB lockup" problem, as mentioned in that earlier thread; you may want to try it if you start getting this problem frequently. See "Synchronise Fine Offset reads" in the station settings.

Next day (about 10 hours later) I tried one more reboot and everything worked. I have checked "Synchronise Fine Offset reads" as you suggested. Diags attached.

Thanks, Tom

The station wasn't responding. You fixed this without resetting the console? The usual 'USB lockup' problem normally requires the console to be reset. Perhaps you had some other issue which was preventing the station communicating.
