Blimey Mark! That's a coincidence. I lost my modem Monday night and BT replaced it yesterday noon. I had 60 hours of missing data but fortunately I still run WL so was able to recover the data and upload to WU (minus gusts).
I can do this because I still run XP and also use Virtual VP allowing more than one software package to run. It's saved my bacon on more than one occasion.
Maybe Steve's new all singing all dancing software will help in this regard?

Maybe one day, but the new software is functionally the same as the old software, and it will be some time before it gets any new features.

So, how does this new spreadsheet differ from the Hilltop method (for WU)?

It imports the Cumulus data file (or files if your outage spans two or more), extracts the data between the date/times you specify and pushes it up to the web servers. All with just a couple of button pushes (after you have specified some basic info like field separators and userid/password.
I couldn't find the original script I was writing to do this - it is around somewhere

- so I put the automation into a spread sheet, taking the Hilltop version for inspiration.
It is also handy just for loading up the monthly data files if you want to examine them outside Cumulus.

No it didn't Mark. Happy to test if you want to send me something. Might be tomorrow evening as I'm fairly busy for the next 24 hours.

That's fair enough Steve. Get the basics working well first eh?

Mark, willing to be a guinea pig here. Just had an extended internet outage and would like to get the data up to WU if possible. If you could send a copy of the spreadsheet that would be fantastic.
Cheers
Gary

Well, that was instructive, Gary's data showed up loads of flaws in the the spreadsheet that I didn't hit. Result: a fully updated version with new options. PM if you need a copy.

hi there
I have been searching for a resolution to some data issues with WU, and would be grateful to try your solution
had a 5 day outage of rainfall (big spider...) and also want to try uploading my Vantage Pro data that starts in 2005 to when I started on WU in august 2015
I'd appreciate the opportunity!
running Cumulus MX on a Raspberry Pi
thanks
Marc
