It's probably best to post any queries in the Steelseries section in the forum, but the instructions for what to do with the files are here: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/SteelSerie ... ulus_Users - steps 1,2 and 7 tell you where to put the files, and the other steps are concerned with configuration.
Possibly the only slight confusion is in step 7, where it talks about copy/move, where this would normally involve ftp.

Re: customising the web pages
It is a nuisance when spikes spoil your data. Cleaning historical data is quite time consuming but once done it will give your visitors greater confidence in your records.nickjwhite wrote:Yes those wind anomolies are just that... anomolies. We have never to my knowledge had that sort of wind here. The station (as do many) does spurious spikes from time to time. Truth is....I get so bogged down trying to find the entries, that I end up with some oddities here and there.
I would guess doing what Davis suggested earlier in this topic. Laborious but worthwhile.I think I do incorrect things like delete an entry in the all time records when it is an obvious spike. Then I am not sure where it gets new data from.
How about viewing Monthly Records and choosing Retrieve Log Files data. That will take a little while. Then Retrieve DayFile Data and then compare the two sets of data. There shouldn't be any differences. The DayFile record isn't editable but the log file one is. You can type the new value in the log file entry but if you cange your mind hit Reset and it replaces it with the one from Dayfile. Hot OK when finished.I can find the wind entries and probably delete them, but the rain I have trouble with finding what to correct and what to replace it with.
I'd keep well away from Excel. Do it all from with Cumulus. The tools Steve has provided will allow you to make all the changes you need.I am no techy, and when I try and edit the records in Excel (so I can see the columns better) I end up with files that Cumulus can't read, and in a right muddle, so I have to do it the hard way, as a txt file in Notepad (yuk)
Hope that helps.
Oh, one final thing. You don't have a Low pressure record probably because your very first entry in Dayfile.txt doesn't have a low pressure entry. If you enter something reasonably close that will resolve that problem.
Finally, I would have expected to find your dayfile.txt here but it shows 404 - not found.

Thanks Ray
I will go through all your points and try and make those amendments as you suggest.
No idea why the dayfile doesn't come up that way.. I'll take a look.
