Alarm Lights

Hi guys!, I wonder if anyone can tell me where I'm going wrong with my alarm lights?.

Ok what I've done is opened my system page, which happens to be my home page as seen here, with my WebEditor (Namo) as usual.

http://freespace.virgin.net/brian.walker3/wx/system.htm

I then chose a position on the page as you see and switched to html view and entered the following codes <img src="images/record_<#newrecord>.gif" I had a gif in my images folder on the web called record_1.gif (flashing red)

The light was flashing when viewing with new record in alarm state, (However, this may have been caused by my forced upload) but then I realized I could not turn it off. I then began to suspect the image path that was requested on double clicking it my page, was wrong. Or maybe not even needed. I'm new to this programming lark, so wonder if you guys can tell me what, if anything, I call the image icon that appears on my page when the above code is used.

I have since placed another gif in the web images folder called alarm_0.gif (green) and changed the original gif to alarm_1.gif (flashing red)

I then tried the codes below (not interfering with the image path this time, and set the alarms on Cumulus accordingly.

<img src="images/alarm_<#LowTempAlarm>.gif"

<img src="images/alarm_<#HighWindGustAlarm>.gif"

The result is the broken image you see on the page, even though the alarms are working/sounding. (Presumably it doesn't effect the outcome on the web page, having the audible alarms activated/

Probably doing something completely stupid here, but damned if I can see what

I can't afford to lose any more hair ;)
Regards, Brian

It's hard to tell without seeing more of the html before it was processed, but from what I can see, you may have closed the img tag in the wrong place.

<img src="images/alarm_<#LowTempAlarm>.gif"

needs to be

<img src="images/alarm_<#LowTempAlarm>.gif">

Ok Steve, you managed to crack it again. Can't see the woods for the trees here sometimes  . Thanks for you help  . Now I know the alarms work I'll pack it in for today (21:50 here and I've been up since 05:00 *yawn*.

I'll tart the whole thing up tomorrow with nice tidy rows etc. Maybe find another red gif too. This one doesn't match the green.

Bye for now, Brian.
