Vantage Vue users - do you have high CPU usage?

It has been brought to my attention that the 2.14 firmware in Vantage Vue stations appears to behave in a similar way to the 3.0 firmware in one particular respect. It responds immediately to requests for data, rather than introducing a delay as the 1.9 and earlier firmware in the VP2 does.

The main symptom of this is high CPU usage. If you have a Vue, please check in task manager. Cumulus should be using no more than a few percent CPU most of the time. If you are getting a very high CPU usage, stop Cumulus and edit Cumulus.ini. To the [Station] section, add a line

VP2SleepInterval=1500

Then start Cumulus again and check the CPU usage, it should be much lower. The 'last data read at' indicator at the right hand end of the status bar should be updating every 2 to 3 seconds.

Please feel free to report/discuss your findings here.

We had this issue and solved it with the 'VP2SleepInterval=1500' tweak.
I should add that is was not an issue with Cumulus 1.9.2 of July 2012 (the first we used) and was first noticed with Cumulus 1.93 b1059 (not checked in between).
Win7, 2Gb Ram, Vantage Vue FW 2.14

The code hasn't changed. You may not have seen the same high CPU symptoms, for some reason, but the loop in Cumulus which reads data from Davis stations hasn't changed since the very first version. The Davis DLL is the same in 1.9.2 and 1.9.3 also.
