"U Bolt" Wanted

I am urgently after a U Bolt as supplied by Oregon Scientific to clamp the anemometer onto a pole, if anyone has one kicking around anywhere please pm me and I will arrange to send you the postage.

If you can't find one try using a cable tie. Works fine for me and hasn't slipped in 18 months.

Be aware that most cable ties degrade in UV, they go brittle and snap when put under load - learnt the hard way using 'big' cable ties to secure poles on a boat.

Hi Mark, Haven't had a problem of degrading. Have to get it down for cleaning and battery replacement every 18 months or so and this involves replacing the ties anyway. All looked fine when i cut off the old ones so they should be good for a couple of years anyway.

For what it's worth, the black cable ties seem to be more UV resistant than the white ones.. Even some of the packages say so...
No matter how carefully you choose your words, they'll always end up being twisted by others!
