Uplink Question

Hi,

I have a La Crosse WS-2308AL running with Cumulus for the past couple of years without any problems. I have decided to start uploading my data to "Weather Underground" and was wondering if this is possible? I suspect that it is, but haven't found where I input my "Wunderground" account name and password. Any help in reference to this issue would be a great help. Sorry for this "simplistic" question, as I am NOT very computer literate.

On the internet settings screen (from the Configuration menu), top right of the screen. Note that you supply your station ID, not your WU account name.

I just downloaded the latest version on Cumulus and have a couple of questions:

1) the "new record" and the "error" light are both flashing

2) my weather station on Wunderground, the "active" reads "NO". and no data is displayed. Did I miss something? as I mentioned in my original post, Sorry for this "simplistic" question, as I am NOT very computer literate.

Depending on what was your previous version the latest version you have installed may have additional data that would be a New Records for you, or you have actual set a new record(s). Click on the "New Record" button to see what records you have and enjoy. Click on the "Error' button to see what the error message is.

It does take a little bit of time for a new station's data to start showing up. How long has it been? If you have all the settings correct, and you can see 'Uploading Weather Underground' from the status bar at the bottom of your Cumulus main console on your computer, and still not shown on Weather Underground after a day or so then contact Weather Underground.

What is your Weather Underground station's location name?

The error message reads:

"Error on line 1 of C:\Program Files\Cumulus\data\Mar13log.txt: List index out of bounds (16)"

edit: OK..... I just checked the latest display and neither light is flashing...?????

My Weather Underground station's location name is: KMIMILF06

Hi,
The lights will go off after you click on them and will only return when there is a new record or a new error.

I can't help with the error message but check your Mar13log.txt file and see if you can detect any abnormality in any of the logged data lines.

Could your Weather Underground ID be KMIMILFO6 with a letter O rather than the number 0 that you have indicated? KMIMILFO6 shows on WU but without any data yet, and KMIMILF06 does not show. If it is KMIMILFO6 then make sure that is what you have set up in Cumulus configuration so Cumulus can upload to the correct WU station.

Sounds like you might have a data spike or some unexpected number. Check and if necessary, edit that file.

Paul,

You are correct....I had a "0" instead of a "O". That made the difference!!! It took only about 3 minutes after I made the change for the "active" reads "YES" at Wunderground.
