i am having problems with the temp sensor it is showing the wrong reading wee had a frost last night but my weather station was showing 3.6c but it was below freezing i checked local weather stations and they were showing -1.1 and -1.5 but my station wouldn't go below 3.6c is thair a fix for this i tried the calibration menu but this just knocks it off even more could the sensor be faulty i also checked the firmware but its showing that my vantage vue has a more upto date version than the davis website should i install the firmware on the website and downgrade the firmware

There may be nothing wrong with the sensor. The only way to know for certain is to check it against another thermometer placed close to it, that you know to be accurate.

How high is your Vue? It should be around 4ft above ground to accurately record air temperatures. If you have positioned it high up to capture wind gusts that will influence the temperature.
The other possibility is it in close proximity to a heat source? Close to your house perhaps? Maybe you could post a photo of its location and that will give us a better idea of any potential positioning problems.

it is up on the side of the house about 1m above the roof i think it might be picking up heat from the house will try it down low tomorrow and try that i have my old weather station temp sensor running just now and that's in my back garden down low and that's reading 0.8c but the vantage vue is reading 2.1c and surrounding weather stations are also reading 0c so it must be that its to close to the house

It does sound like it's picking up heat from the house. The Vue does have the problem that you cannot locate it in an ideal position for both temperature and wind. It depends what's more important to you. Wind = 33ft up; temp = 4ft up.
Only you can decide.
