I like the last observation idea. I have been using the "Current" as a way of adding forecast information. Things like "Hard Freeze Warning" or "Heat Advisory" or "Red Flag Warning" so people, at least in my general area, are aware of different warnings and they can then prepare for the adverse weather.

That is the advantage of this tag. Any information can be sent to the web page indicating any weather status; suitably titled. It is a pity the information isn't recorded automatically, but a copy could be put in the weather diary manually.

You could put a date/time stamp in the message as well to give an idea of the validity.
