I am running the Maplin version. Using since Xmas. Its fine (third one mind!) I have both Easy Wether and Cumulous software loaded and the station communicates and downloads the data to each. However the Cumulous download is taking longer and longer each time. Is it downloading ALL the data from the start each time. if so surely when its 6 months old or more it will take ages. Is there a way of storing the data on the pc and only downloding the new data.
Also the backup on the sation builds but seems to have no relavence to downloading onto the pc. Should the onboard memory be wiped as you download or is this not linked. Whats happen then if I just leave it to fill up and do nothing?
Thanks for any advice that can be given

Re: downloading data question
Normally it would only download the data to cover the period from when it was last closed down.
First of all, can you confirm that you're not running Easyweather and Cumulus at the same time?
Assuming you're not, please zip up the diags folder and attach it.
When the station memory is 'full', it just starts again at the beginning and reuses the old locations. You don't need to clear the memory or take any other action.

Re: downloading data question
Firstly I have both the easy weather and cumulous software loaded. I connect the station, then open up one, let it download, close then open the other and do the same.
Not sure how to find the diags folder
Thanks for clarifying the onboard meory 'issue'

Re: downloading data question
It's only reading the data it requires to catch up from when it was closed down.
For example, you closed it on 12th Feb at around 23:00
12/02/2013 23:07:25.703 : 23:07:25 EWUSB: Processing history data for = 12/02/2013 22:51:53
12/02/2013 23:07:25.812 : Writing today.ini, LastUpdateTime = 12/02/2013 22:51:53 raindaystart = 133.5 rain counter = 133.5
[...]
12/02/2013 23:14:05.111 : Cumulus closing
When you started it up again 10 days later, it downloaded the data from the last logged entry:
22/02/2013 07:19:06.202 : Read today file: Date = 12/02/2013, LastUpdateTime = 12/02/2013 22:51:53

Re: downloading data question
In the example I quoted, there were around 900 entries to download and process. You have to expect it to take a little while to catch up, when you haven't run it for 10 days!
