WH-1080 - what does this mean?

Hey,

I've just got a secondhand WH1080 from ebay to have a play with.

I plan to use the station with a raspberry pi - i've not got the pi set up yet but have set the stations up.

Please look at the attached pic of the console - it keeps switching from displaying the readings for outdoor temp and wind speed to this.

what does it mean when its not showing the readings? Is it just updating from the station, or is it not receiving the data??

The dashes mean that it's not receiving the signal from the transmitter.

Thanks for the quick reply Steve.

I fixed the sensors onto an aluminium aerial pole fastened to my garden shed roof on Saturday, this loss of transmitter signal has only happened in the last day and a half.

I originally had the console connected to a raspi on my kitchen counter connected via the usb cable. The distance between the console and sensors is around 7-8 metres, through one brick wall.

Does this set up sound like it should be ok signal-wise or do you think i'd need to get the console closer to the sensors?

Stu

Best for original setup to have the transmittter and sensors alongside the transmitter. If it doesn't work there then it won't work outside.
