I think it's about time those of you who are interested should have a play with the Silverlight gauges I'm working on.

Demo here: http://sanday.org.uk/weather/CumulusRealtime.html

Download here: http://www.nybbles.co.uk/downloads/CumulusRealtime.zip

Just unzip and follow the instructions in the readme.txt file.

Steve

Update: Sorry, the gauges are currently unavailable - they will return!

I really don't like installing a bunch of extra software (which should be incorporated into the operating system) on my machine. Nonetheless, this application makes the 5 MB of additional overhead justifiable. I'll give it a go! Cheers, Lex

Wow!

If this is a peek at Cumulus2- I can't wait for the rest.

Two minutes from download to the web. As soon as I configure the navigation it will be on my site!

Kudos,

GW

You could say that, yes. Silverlight is basically WPF for the web, and WPF is what I'm using for Cumulus 2.

I notice a few glitches with the temperature gauges on your site, because of Fahrenheit; I'll get that sorted.

The V2 seems to be stuck on the please wait never going any further , I can view other posters guages fine.

Would it be anything to do with using a free hosting site ?

Here is the link to my V2 page.

I see you remotely fixed Fahrenheit to Celsius overnight. Slick - now there is nothing left for us to do since the fixes are fixed remotely.

Whops! my mistake. The page starts in C. and reverts to F. I guess the fix is not remote as there was no fix yet!

I don't think that should matter. Have you specified the URL of your realtime.txt file correctly?

No, I can't fix remotely. It starts off in C until it reads your realtime.txt file for the first time and finds out what your units are. Fix later today, hopefully.

Steve, I don't think the left 3 indicators are displaying correctly.
It's looks like this with either FF 3.0.8 or IE7.
Same on IE7.
