Grey bar behind Lat/Long/Elevation too short

Post by heliraptor »

Hi Guys

Adjust the web settings in Cumulus and now have the lat & long etc in the page.

There is grey bar beneath it that seems to have shortened....anyone know why it has shrunk?

More importantly anyone know how to fix it ;o)

Thanks

Well the page uses H2 to define the bar, but I loaded your webpage into my CSS editor and you have 14 style sheets loading (never seen so many!!) and H2 is defined and redefined in so many it is going to be difficult to find out which one is causing the problem!!

Hi

The style sheet are probably because I'm using wordpress to create the site.

Just checking and opening the weather frame up on its own there is not an issue, the page on the site is embedded in an iframe as thats the only way I can achieve displaying the weather page within the site structure.

I think its the use of the iframe that is messing up the grey bar as on its won it displays correctly.

Thanks for looking but think its an issue I have to sort this end.

If you want change that grey bar to transparent, in weatherstyle.css change background-color line:

Code: Select all

h2 {
	font-family: Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
	font-size: 90%;
	color: #555555;
	letter-spacing: 0.15em;
	padding-bottom: .2em;
	background-color: transparent;
	text-align: right;
	padding-top: .2em;
	padding-right: 1em;
}

Hint:

As you are 'containing' it you could / should alter the margins in weatherstyle.css

Code: Select all

#content {
	margin-top: 5%;
	margin-right: 20%;
	margin-bottom: 5%;
	margin-left: 20%;
}
You certainly don't want the left and right as % because your 'container' width is fixed.
