How to remove unused gauges and change the look
Hi
Is it simple to remove unused gauges...don't think our vantage 2 pro system measures solar and uv.
Can these be removed to tidy the page up ? If so how.
I read in another post about changing the look of the gauges. Are there set looks that can be achiveed. id like to make the steel surround a bit darker initially ?
I'm guessing its all done within the gauges.js file ??

Re: How to remove unused gauges and change the look
Removed the unused gauges...as far as changing the look...silly me just altered the overall look of the gauges, simply cvhanging one element in the gauges.js file and it made them dissapear ha ha.
Back now, so I'm guessing there's a trick to it that mean adding more files.
I have the link to the radial gauges that shows them and how they appear (Thanks Toby) and also the link to a page listing various .htm files where I think what is the new gauges.
https://github.com/HanSolo/SteelSeries-Canvas
Anybody care to give me an diots guide to achive the look of the gauges here instead of the stock steel gauges ?

Cheers

Re: How to remove unused gauges and change the look
Hi,
In gauges.js around line 70 you should see:
//Gauge global look'n'feel settings
gauge = {
minMaxArea : 'rgba(212,132,134,0.3)', //area sector for todays max/min. (red, green, blue, transparency)
windAvgArea : 'rgba(132,212,134,0.3)',
frameDesign : steelseries.FrameDesign.TILTED_GRAY,
background : steelseries.BackgroundColor.BEIGE,
foreground : steelseries.ForegroundType.TYPE1,
pointer : steelseries.PointerType.TYPE8,
pointerColour : steelseries.ColorDef.RED,
gaugeType : steelseries.GaugeType.TYPE4,
lcdColour : steelseries.LcdColor.STANDARD,
knob : steelseries.KnobType.STANDARD_KNOB,
knobStyle : steelseries.KnobStyle.SILVER,
labelFormat : steelseries.LabelNumberFormat.STANDARD,
tickLabelOrientation : steelseries.TickLabelOrientation.HORIZONTAL, // was .NORMAL up to v1.6.4
rainUseSectionColours : false, // Only one of these colour options should be true
rainUseGradientColours : false, // Set both to false to use the pointer colour
tempTrendVisible : true,
pressureTrendVisible : true,
uvLcdDecimals : 1,
This is where you apply the changes you want.

Re: How to remove unused gauges and change the look
Thanks Kerry,
I tried that the first time and all the gauges dissapeared, its now working.
Do you happen to know if the order of the gauges can be changed.
We're a model flying club and the primary gauges we are interested in are wind speed and direction and the rose.
Do you know if these can be changed to sit at the top ?
If so how ?
Sorry to bombard you.
