Pressure on colsole reading wrong since battery change.

Hi all,

Changed the batteries in the sensor unit and console of the WH1080 yesterday and everything appeared to be OK except the pressure reading on the console (set to REL and HPA) appeared to be 8mb low. It was easy to correct by using offset in the calibration page but it always read (before the battery change) correctly when calibrated with my Altimeter.

I also updated to the latest version of Cumulus (13 Feb version) but the problem was still there on the older version before the update.

One thing I did notice was that when you load the calibration page it highlights the Pressure offset setting and returns it to zero. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong; no problem resetting it to +8 though.

I wonder if anyone has any ideas why the pressure reading should be so far our on the console; it was always within around .5mb before.

Thanks in advance,

Mike.

It's presumably lost the relative pressure setting in the console due to the battery change; you need to set it again. You shouldn't need to use the calibration setting in Cumulus.

I can't reproduce that; I've tried closing the window and re-opening it, restarting Cumulus, and it always keeps the setting. It does highlight that box, which wasn't intentional, but I can't get it to lose the setting.

Thanks Steve; I'll have a go at that later. :)

All sorted now Steve; I'd forgotten about having to reset the console after the battery change; last set lasted 18 months and still had some life left in them.

The Calibration setting didn't change to zero this time; think it was my eyes LOL.
Have an opticians appointment on Wednesday, perhaps I need stronger glasses.

Thanks for your help.

Mike.
