Cumulus - Steel Gauge help - http error
Hi Guys
Newbie here, and have attempted to update the gauges on our site to the steel version.
Current gauges are still the originals on the site.
http://s453079954.websitehome.co.uk/rad ... gauges.htm
This is what I'm getting on the new gauge-ss.htm page
http://s453079954.websitehome.co.uk/rad ... ges-ss.htm
I seem to have been though it many times and can't find my error..any budding pro's out there willing to steer me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance...your help and advice is MUCH appreciated.

Re: Cumulus - Steel Gauge help - http error
Looking at it again it seems the full path to the ftp location is repeated, I have obviously put it in a long string where I didnt need to.
Thing is finding out where. Could it possibly be in the internet configuration settings within cumulus ?
The only other place would be the amendements I made to the .js file.
I'll have to check both by trial and eroor...funny how one gauge loaded up though...bizarre.
Cheers

Re: Cumulus - Steel Gauge help - http error
In gauges.js, you have
realTimeURL_Cumulus: 's453079954.websitehome.co.uk/radmac/weather/realtimegauges.txt', //*** Cumulus Users: Change to your location of the realtime file ***
That just needs to be
realTimeURL_Cumulus: 'realtimegauges.txt', //*** Cumulus Users: Change to your location of the realtime file ***
But you have another problem; your realtimegauges.txt file contains unprocessed web tags, so it looks like you haven't ticked the 'process' box in Cumulus.

Re: Cumulus - Steel Gauge help - http error
Hi Steve,
Thnaks for tjhe reply.
A you suggested I have amended the gauges.js file which seems to have cured the http error, however as you rightly say it doesn't appear the raltimgauges.txt file is being processed.
I know have an error in the lcd bar at the top.
And here's a screen print of my cumus config...processed is ticked and always has been.
Now when I copied those files onto my server through filezilla I renamed them manually taking the T out...was this the right thing to do ?? Same with the gauges-ss.htm file...I removed the T manually.
The links do appear correct, I have given the full path in the top two bars of the server space. In the bottom I took a shot regarding the images, not usre if this was right.
In the setup it mentions link to the folder where the trend graphs are....I can't seen to find them ? Could you put me in the right direction.
I have also included a grab of the js folder.
This is the only area I have edited...........anything look out of place ?
The path to the realtime file...is that to realtime.txt or realtimegauges.txt ?
Sorry did say I was a noob !! lol
Thanks everyone for their help and advice.

Re: Cumulus - Steel Gauge help - http error
For some reason the realtimegauges.txt has no values so it's not proccessed as Stev said befor http://s453079954.websitehome.co.uk/rad ... gauges.txt

Re: Cumulus - Steel Gauge help - http error
You don't need to ftp the files to the server, Cumulus does that; that's why you have an 'unprocessed' copy there. The most likely reason for the file not being uploaded (given that your other settings look OK) is that you haven't supplied the correct path for the file. It's best to supply a relative path, i.e. one that doesn't start with a 'slash'.
You don't need the 'copy images to folder' setting unless you're running a web server on your own PC. They get copied to your server by ftp anyway because you have the default 'include standard images' set.
In gauges.js, you haven't supplied a relative path for your graphs directory; you probably just want 'images'. When I installed these gauges I found that I had very little configuring to do and the defaults just worked. You seem to have been changing things that didn't need changing.

Re: Cumulus - Steel Gauge help - http error
Try change to gauges.js
imgPathURL : 'images/', //*** Change this to the relative path for your 'Trend' graph images
oldGauges : 'gauges.htm', //*** Change this to the relative path for your 'old' gauges page.
And change Cumulus files tab, remonte filenames:
weather/realtimegauges.txt
weather/gauges-ss.htm
You don't need copy images to folder setting.

Re: Cumulus - Steel Gauge help - http error
Excellent !
Thanks both for all your help.
I guess I 'overread' the instructions...trying to make it to hard !!
I have the page up now, but have a message saying the weather station is offline...and no lat/long etc are present. Weather station isn't offline.
http://s453079954.websitehome.co.uk/rad ... ges-ss.htm
How do I tweak the settings to get the lat/long/altitude to show and make sure its online and realtime (I assume al the gauges are realtime)??
Thanks

Re: Cumulus - Steel Gauge help - http error
HIya
Dont worry...sorted it. Found out a path error on the cumulus config. It had dumped the gauges and realtime text file in the root, not in the weather folder. Amended that and its all sorted.
Just like to thank everyone for their input, you've been a great help.
Cheers
