Removing bad data

On Jan 23 2012 for some reason my station sent a temp of 164.0 at 0703. So now I'm trying to get things sorted out. I deleted the dayfile for the 23rd and edited the alltime high record. Question is there an easier way to get the other records sorted out? Like my highest heat index is now 899.2F and highest dewpoint is 158.2F. What files should I edit to get this resolved.
Thanks
Dave

If you've corrected dayfile.txt, then you can use the all-time record editor to re-fetch the records from that. Alternatively, you could look in the backup files that Cumulus creates each time it starts up (and also at midnight in version 1.9.3), and take a copy of alltime.ini from before the problem (with Cumulus stopped). This assumes you still have the backup folders going back that far, and you haven't broken any real records since then. Alternatively, you could look at alltimelog.txt to find the correct records from before the problem (see the wiki for the format of the file) and use the alltime editor to manually correct the records.
