Seeking confirmation of what seems to be happening.
Running Davis VantageVue and using the Davis forecast for Cumulus and the website - all good.
Also running the Cumulus Gadget.
The forecast Icons in the gadget (no forecast text) use Cumulus realtime.txt and it seems the realtime.txt has a forecast number/text that, at times, bears no relationship to the Davis (or WU) forecast as there is often a significant mismatch between these forescasts.
For example:-
We are in the middle of a serious dry spell - 13 days without rain so far - with no chance of rain any time soon but maybe a sniff in another 6 days time!
However yesterday the gadget was showing showers based on the forecast number in realtime.txt.

So the question is, how are the realtime.txt forecast numbers arrived at when the Davis forecast is being used? It looks as if Cumulus is doing its own forecast and reporting that in the forecast number even though Davis forecast is set- is that correct?

Yes, the forecast number is the Zambretti forecast number, and corresponds to the items in strings.ini.

Cumulus doesn't have access to a number for the Davis forecasts.
