Today, My WS-1090 station stopped sending data to my laptop.
The following error messages appeared:
28/01/2013 20:50:41 : The station is not initialised
28/01/2013 20:50:41 : Byte 0 = FF Byte 1 = FF
28/01/2013 20:50:41 : Try resetting the console
All the sensors are working and all the expected data shows up on the console screen normally.
I have tested the console batteries: OK
I have pulled the batteries and allowed the internal battery to die. I then reinserted the 1.5.v cells and reset the values on the console screen.
Upon reconnecting the station and restarting Cumulus, the same error messages appear.
I even ran the Weatherwise program: ResetWS1090 but even tho' it stated that it had reset the "factory", no improvement occurred.
Are there any other things I can try to restore the data flow?

When you did the reset, did you remove the batteries and the USB cable?

Re: WS-1090 suddenly stopped sending data to computer
The unit now works.(Yeah!)
What i had not done was to wait until the console screen went blank before running ResetWs1090.
This morning, I did wait and voila, everything works again.
As a result of my impatience yesterday, I lost 12 h of data. [However, the world will not tilt on its axis as a result.]
