Trouble creating a website, can someone help a lady out?

My husband has been running Cumulus 1.9.2 build 10.32 getting data from his LaCrosse WS2308 weather station on windows 7, he was uploading data to Weather Underground rapidfire without a hitch for sometime. Recently we've had some extreme temperatures (in excess of 50 degrees C) and as a result apparently the system stopped updating thinking that our station was in error. The curent weather page is receiving data but the rapidfire does not update.

Anyway he was concerned that the local fire communications headquarters would not be able to receive up to the minute information on our local area as they needed during emergencies (he is with the rural fire service and we have been under extreme fire danger lately - not now though we are curently under flood threat from an ex-tropical cyclone! ) so we decided to go ahead and create our own page.

I have set up a basic website with our own domain www.munmurrabend.net with www.greengeeks.com hosting. I've set up with Cumulus to upload via the FTP without problems I can see the data in the file manager for the website but for the life of me I can't get the weather page right and now I have hopelessly confused myself.

All I know about computers is self taught and with 4 young children at the end of school holidays I'm just constantly being intterupted in my thoughts.

Yesterday I had a rapid fire page up but with a plain grey screen so I followed instructions to allow the page to recognise the silverlight file extension but stil no luck. I know it's probably only simple but I'm about to throw in the towel.

Anyway i'd be immensly grateful to anyone who could help sort this out.

Regards,
Suzanne

Turn on ftp logging and wait until an update has been attempted, then attach the ftplog.txt file here. Please also attach a screen shot of your Cumulus internet settings.

Just add to and and if you weren't sure
FTP logging is under the Configuration tab and you can get a window screen shot by pressing ALT+PRTSCN then paste in paint.

The directory you've specified doesn't exist.

22:00:16:005 Changing directory to /home/munmurra/public_html
22:00:16:005 FTP Command: CWD /home/munmurra/public_html
22:00:16:005 04F54050 TriggerDataSent 1500
22:00:17:795 FTP Response: 550 Can't change directory to /home/munmurra/public_html: No such file or directory

If when you log in by ftp you are already in /home/munmurra (which is a common setup), then you probably just need public_html (no leading slash) for the directory. This assumes that you have set up the Cumulus web site in the root of your web space - yes?

However, http://www.munmurrabend.net/weatherstyle.css doesn't exist, so maybe you haven't set up your Cumulus web site in the root of your web space. Where have you put it?

I must say thanks so much to David who helped me privately to sort out the mess I had created. Basically we wiped what I had done and srarted from scratch but our site is now up and running, just needing some tweaking but that can wait till morning
Thanks again to everyone especially David :)
