My weather station melrosecrescentweather.co.uk is working really well but in "This month", between This month's highs and lows
and the banner heading Temperature and Humidity there appears the figure 0 in the centre. I cannot find it in any of the T files, so how do I get rid of it. It does not appear in This Years and the textappears to be OK.
Any ideas?
Arthur

You have some kind of corruption; your 'this month' page currently looks like this:
It could be that the template file is corrupted, or perhaps it was an ftp problem. I'll look again after your next update in a couple of minutes.

Re: Strange figure in "This month"
It's looking OK now, other than that spurious '0'.
It looks like you've edited the template to add this month's sunshine hours, and there's a mistake in the html:
The "0</td>" is spurious; that's where that "0" is coming from.

Dear Steve,
Problem solved, my old fingers caused me to hit the ) I suppose. You are brilliant!
I'm now working out how to get the monthly and yearly totals of Sunshine hours from the "View totals."
Again my thanks, donation on the way.
Best wishes,
Arthur

Re: Strange figure in "This month"
I did wonder how you were getting the monthly total, presumably you just 'hard code' the actual figure into the template? There isn't a web tag because Cumulus doesn't maintain a count of the total, currently. The 'This month' screen in Cumulus calculates the total by scanning dayfile.txt, so it's not practical to do that for a web tag. I can't think of any way you could currently get the figure from Cumulus directly to put on a web page.abarnett1934 wrote:I'm now working out how to get the monthly and yearly totals of Sunshine hours from the "View totals."

Re: Strange figure in "This month"
Steve,
Just where do you find this code? For Arizona you'd expect lots of sunshine. However it has not been all that good recently, but 0 hours is really inaccurate. Or is it because my PWS doesn't support the sunshine? I don't see where I have it selected to send that information onto the website, so that is also a question.

Re: Strange figure in "This month"
If your weather station doesn't have a solar sensor, then Cumulus can't calculate sunshine hours, and if the template you're using has it on it, you probably want to remove it. The standard Cumulus templates have instructions in them in comments for removing the solar data.
