Over Xmas it appears that the air speed monitor has partially ceased. I can reach and move it but even in reasonable wind it stops moving again and wont restart without a push. Before I take it down has anyone had the same problem and are there any resolutions. For info.. Its a Solar unit with the rain gauge wire to a separate location. Everything else is working as usual and the unit is 2 years old.

Many of us has had a problem like this. The solutions can be to oil up the bearing, or replace it.
I oiled up mine, and it's been working well ever since, even down to -26ºC.
