Hi,

I've had my WS 1081 going for over a year, and it's been great. But this morning I found that I was not receiving outdoor data ... the indoor display unit is showing my indoor temp, but it's not showing outdoor temp, outdoor wind, or rain. It just shows "---" for each set of data.

I have replaced the batteries in the outdoor unit, and the red light went on when I did that. I also replaced the batteries in the indoor unit.

Any thoughts on where the problem could be?

Did you follow the power sequence in the manual to get the units synchronised?
You could try moving the base station closer to the transmitter during the 'sync' period to help it pick up the signal.

Thanks Mark. Yes, I think it was a re-syncing issue. After some time I had another look and it had restarted again so everything is working properly once more.

Looks like I spoke too soon, as I checked on my weather station this morning and I am not getting a signal from the outdoor weather station. Once again my indoor station is giving me "---" for outdoor temp, wind, rain, & humidity.

Mark (or anyone else), what does the manual say about getting the units synchronised? I went looking for my manual, and I can't find it.
