When I read the Ranking help it says

Rank Order
There is 2 ways to set the Rank Order:
•By the Average of Hits.
•By only the Days Hits.
•By the Weekly Hits.
•By the Monthly Hits.
•By the Overall Hits.

Cumulus Topsites is currently set to Rank by 'Average' .

but to me it seems to ranking on Hits this week (the top item in the pale blue column on the right) not the Average hits (the second item in the same column), or am I being extemely stupid?

Nope sorry when I changed it to rank weekly and display the rankings weekly I forgot to alter the Help file.
It is now corrected.
I will leave as such for another week while we are tweaking and then alter to monthly.

Hi all.
After a couple of emails I decided to answer here in case others wonder what we are doing.
While members have been signing up and admin have been playing with the setting plus adding Help Pages, the Ranking was set on Weekly.
Over the last couple of weeks this has given us an idea of how the scripts functions allowing the fairest settings as it has reset itself twice now at the end of the week.

We have now set it to reset each month and to rank on the monthly hits & page views.
This will now be permanent.
The choice of monthly is to allows those joining from now on a fair chance to be near the top of the list as opposed to stuck near the bottom.
However your Average Hits/Page views does not alter and this can be considered your overall popularity

After our midnight last night it turned over the week and the ranking began again with us all set on 0 rank.
Today I have now set it for monthly.
This appears to have taken them back to the first of the month and not rolled back to when we began which was around the 20th of January.
So a Calendar month it is.
None of this is clear in the settings/documentation and hence the trial and error last couple of weeks.

I still can't edit my site details (to fix the typos)

Could you message me what you wish to change other than the obvious Canberra bit. We need to do yours manually otherwise your banner will disappear again. The script does not like those numbers for some reason.

'By popular demand'
As pointed out by a few Cumulus Topsite supporters a month was ways too long as the rank period.
The gap between each station became to large and hence very little movement was had after the 2 week mark.
So we have changed the ranking to weekly and hence things should be a little more interesting all going well.

After searching through all the added folders Gmail so kindly adds we found a fairly full Spam folder hidden underneath.
All have been dealt with and we now know where else to look each day
