New computer problems

Post by Grahame Rob »

Hi I have got a new/old PC that is going to be used for running Culumus and sending data to websites that are weather related but after transfering the data file from the old computer to the new one and setting up cumulus the same as the old comp I keep getting the message "FTP Error: FTP component already connected" and its not updating my website but it looks like it is uploading to Wunderground and Twitter. Have I missed something?

If you're using exactly the same settings, and it's using the same internet connection, then it's odd that you're having problems. It sounds like you're getting timeouts. If you turn on ftp logging and attach the ftplog.txt file, I might be able to see what's going on.

I've had this error when my FTP password was incorrect, which happened while moving to a new computer.
