faulty temperature reading

Hi,
in October last year my WM918 had a temperature reading of 51.5degrees Celsius. This isn't "possible" were I live and we have never had this hot, especially not in October... This has only happened once - have anybody else seen this? Hardware fault as a water leak?
Would it be possible to filter this type of spikes in the software? After all if several readings before and after are very much lower or higher then this type of spike should be sorted out, (?).

Cumulus does have a spike removal facility, but it only applies to La Crosse and Fine Offset stations, because those are the only stations that I have ever seen produce spikes - and they do so regularly.

I could consider adding spike removal to the WM918, but I can't see me getting around to it for some time, as I have so much to do already, the WM918 is obsolete, and after all you have only had this happen once.

Thanks for fast reply. No hurry, it has only happened once.
I have had some strange gust too, but nothing to worry about. I'll check my installation too since I have long cables and the are reconnected at two places from my tower down to the WM918/computer.

Another thing about the temperature, my outdoor temperature readout seems to be about 2 degrees higher than actual. It hasn't always been like this so something might have happened with the sensor, (?). Is it possible to trim in the software?

You can use the calibration settings to apply an offset and/or a multiplier.
