I installed the Silabs CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Driver and was never able to get my Vantage Vue to connect to Cumulus so I would now like to go back to using Weatherlink. However, it seems like Weatherlink will not recognize my Vantage Vue because of the VCP.
I thought I had removed the Silabs VCP and then uninstalled the Silabs software. But when I plug in my USB cable I get the notification of new hardware being found and then it sets up Silabs VCP.
Looking at my Ports (COM &LPT) it has the Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge (COM4)
So I’ve tried reinstalling the Silabs CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Driver software and using the their driveruninstall.exe file but I get an Error Cannot find reference key needed to run the driver uninstall.
Does anyone have any suggestion how I can connect back to Weatherlink?

So I’ve been fiddling around and got Cumulus to connect to the VUE.
How do I change the archive interval in Weatherlink ( I last had it set to 1 hour) to match the 30 minutes I have set in Cumulus? When I try to in Weatherlink its gives me a communication error “Devise not found please plug in the devise?”

I run both, Cumulus all the time except for WL twice a month for about 5 minutes to keep my data, but if I could run one only it would certainly be Cumulus.
Not trying to run both at the same time without VVP are you?
If Cumulus runs then WL should run as well, is your WL set to serial, and same COM port as in Cumulus?

Re: Removing Silabs CP210x USB to UART Bridge VCP Driver
Hi Paul,
Thanks for the reply.
No, I wasn't running them at the same time. However, I just tried WL and set the communication port to serial and com#4 which I had tried before and this time it found the VUE. So they both seem to be working fine now
I'm still perplexed as to how to remove the Silabs driver.
