Error!!! Failed to write to USB!

Post by neatgadgets »

The error: Error!!! Failed to write to USB!
is now coming up and an earlier error of *** Data input appears to have stopped

I had Cumulus left open for the first time last night while at the basketball. This happened while I was there. I checked it from home at 8:45 and it was working fine (checked my website). Not long after that it failed.

How do I get it working again? It just seems to keep coming up with the error.

Using v 1.9.2
Weatherwise Instruments WH1080

You have some sort of USB problem, or possibly a problem with the station itself. You could try unplugging/replugging the station (with Cumulus not running). Or try a different USB cable or USB port; you may need to reset the station (unplug USB and remove batteries).

As a separate issue, you've selected a station type for a station which has solar sensors, and yours does not. This means that any data downloaded from the logger when Cumulus starts up will be garbage, as Cumulus assumes the entries are four bytes longer, to hold the solar data.
