Problems updating weatherundeground

I installed my Vantage Pro 2 yesterday in the countryside with cumulsu runing on an Asus eee PC. I already noted yestewrday that the temperature at some point was constant over more than 1,5 hours. Then disaster struck...The EEE PC at that oint fell out of a box installed at 2,5 m height and of course everything stopped. Today I went to the farm and started things up (if it wanted). Everything seemed to function just fine (luck!!) and cumulus communicated with the WU, because the datalogger put the records that were missed into WU (now every half an hour everything was updated). But from that moment on, the next 2 hours there was an update as I set it in cumulus every 5 minutes and again nothing changed. Now, not only the the temperature but the last reading was sent time and time again..|I am not 10% sure, but I think that when I checked the station in cumulus on the EEE PC I did note the values were changing. But somehow nothing correct was sent to WU. Only the last reading. Other station near me have no such problems....Any tips? Thanks in advance!

If you turn on the debug log, the debug.log file shows the uploads which are sent to WU. What is your WU station ID?
If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll see if I can see anything in there also.
Thanks

First of all thanks for the swift response!
my station is izeeland35.
I went back. Whenever I power on like I did an hour ago, it seems to update things. Than..zip. Rapidfire was put on, called home and asked if anything changed as the EEE PC is slooooowww to get me to internet. No, there were no updates since 8, 9 etc minutes. I can see in the data that cumulus updated constantly and I could see in my GSM 3G modem software that, like the days when I was testing. datapackages are send out as frequently..I could also go to the internet (tried it inspite of it being slow). So it seems that somehow Wunderground is not receiving or is not receiving anything usefull.
I checked cumulus myself while I was there and it was still receiving data 9constant wind changes were noted etc. It is always the same with that station somehow. I am not superstitious. But I run a couple of weatherstations since 1997. The others: never had any trouble. This one: battery failure -> lost data. Notebook went into sleepmode and didn't want to get out -> lost all the downloaded data. The farmer for once in 50 years let some sheep graze. And they gnarled through all the wires (Weatherwizard III) -> dataloss. Tried meteohub -> unstable, the memorycards are not functioning well enough. Had to reionstall etc. Meotehub, to my mind, was simply not up for this kind of use. So that was a failure. I have used dataloggers and they are fine but I wanted life data. So now I first tested things out at home and everything was fine. Yesterday I went to the countryside and this happens.....Always something goes wrong there and of all the stations, this one is in the most interesting postition with much lower temperatures in winter especially. But it seems it is not meant to be...
It is quite timeconsuming to go back and forth there and I don't like to disturb the farmer and his family constantly (even though it is in a barn), but I will get the log files, put them on a sd card and send them to you. Thanks.

I think that if the same data is sent to WU, it doesn't add it to the history. So it could be that you are getting the problem where the DLL cannot retrieve the data, so it stays the same in Cumulus, so WU gets the same data, so it doesn't get logged. Perhaps.

So what does that mean? What cab I do about this? Cumulus is running things just fine. I looked, like I said, to be sure about it and the wind data etc are changing constantly in the cumulus screen.
Besides, as you can see this afternoon the same data was logged for an hour or two...

Maybe my theory is wrong, then. I don't really understand how WU works anyway. I can't really say any more until I see the diags files and debug log.

And to be sure: where can I get the files in cumulus. I don't have anything running here...so not to get out there and mess up things (again), I am also contemplating to set some other things in cumulus and see how updating to other weathersites goes...If that works fine, the problem is in WU (whom I also have sent a mail btw).
Thanks for you help!

Instructions for the diags files are in the post linked to near the top of the forum page - 'please click here before posting'. When the debug log has been turned on, the debug.log file is created in the Cumulus program folder (i.e. in the same place as cumulus.exe).

Yes I read it. Will put the outcome on an SD card and send the output to you so you can see it. Will take a couple of days.
Solved!

Problem was like this..
1) Before the notebook smacked on the floor, 1 usb port on the left was used and one on the right
2) after the smack, the one on the left was dead and the two on the right could not be used simultaneously because the Huwaei 3G dongle was too big.
3) Used a USB HUB without a netadapter
4) It only worked a minute or so for some reason
5) Thought that may be the dongle needed more power, so bought a powerd USB HUB (Trust 7 ports Hub which delivers 2 A which should be ample energy)
6) Installed it today and things are running flawlessly. Keeping the fingers crossed.
So it seems to be solved! Great. 20 euro well spent on the hub.
