Gauges Appear Skewed/Broken

Post by JasonD »

Hello,

Deepest apologies if this has been answered. I did search through the forums and didn't find anything regarding this particular problem. Some the gauges on the gauges.htm page appear skewed or broken. Some display fine. I've double checked to make sure files are in the correct paths, etc. I've checked this on several different PCs and they look the same on each one. Probably something obvious I'm missing.

Our gauges page:

http://www.cns-internet.com/wx/station/gauges.htm

Thanks for any help you can provide.

I found the issue on my own with a bit more research. I downloaded Cumulus to a different PC and instead of using FTP to transfer the files in dbimages, I transferred them with SCP. Seems FTP on the PC plugged into the weather station was currupting some of the image files. All the gauges look fine now.

Thanks.

hi guys.

got the same here. all the 'bar' gauges are displaying but the bars are blank.

hovering indicates the correct data!

I have checked about 10 other web pages just and 8/10 are doing the same.

I have just moved PCs and also upgraded to 1.8.6 - 812.

Am not sure if this was happening before (stupid)

Looks fine to me. Are you using IE8? Does this help?

I have been using IE8 on my laptop and when viewing the Cumulus Gauges Page, I found that by clicking the Compatability View Button, The Gauges that didnt display, display fine when using the Compatability Mode in IE8.

Hope this helps.

Now this seems strange to me: on my gauges page, everything works except the rain gauge! The fly over gives the right amount, but the gauge simply does not show anything. Does anybody have an idea about what's up with that? Thanks for any help, Lex

Funny- -a while ago I thought the fly over worked, but now it does not seem to be showing any rain either. Very strange...

I see an empty guage and the mouseover confirms 'nil' values.

The relevent code line (toward bottom of htm page) confirms this:

Code: Select all

var raintoday = new Array("0.00","in","0.00","0.00");
However, your main page and realtime.txt both have a rain value both for last hour and today !

Make sure your gaugesT.htm hasn't been modified at sometime with those 'hard' values.

The line should read:

Code: Select all

var raintoday = new Array("<#RCrfall>","<#rainunit>","<#RCrrate>","<#RCrrateTM>");

Hi Steve, sri mate, been away for a few days.

Came back to find it all working fine, even in IE8.

I did read the note you pointed too but didnt have to touch anything (honest).

Strange but thanks anyway.

Your gauges are still broken in IE8 for me. I still think you need the updated wz_jsgraphics.js file.
