default gauge ranges

Post by Areecki »

I from Polish and poorly know English and writing in Java.
Installed on your web page rates but do not know how to set the minimum and MAXimum values for temperature and rate others.
I tried to change:

Code: Select all

/ / Default gauge ranges - before auto-scaling/ranging
             tempScaleDefMinC: -15,
             tempScaleDefMaxC: 10,
But it does not work, do not know where to change auto-scaling/ranging on/off

It is because your lowest dewpoint today is -20.1°C, so the scale auto expands to cover a range that includes today's minimum temperature and your desired maximum.

Also -15 -> +10 will give a rather ugly scale, -20 -> +10 would be better.

Why is the first rate that displays only the temperature inside and outside takes into account Dewpoint?
dewpoint is display on the second rate
I can not set the -10?

Just for aesthetic reasons, I think the two adjacent temperature gauges look better if they have the same range, it makes visual comparisons between the two much more effective - and the main reason for gauges is visualisation.

This looks bad
Instead -25 ° C min , it should be 0 C or 10 C.

The script does treat the 'indoor' reading differently, but if it can display it in the range currently being used for the outdoor temps, it will not switch ranges. My 'indoor' is actually almost another 'outdoor'.

The whole idea of these scripts though is that they are open and you are free to customize them and make them work how you want for your needs. Everyone wants something slightly different and there are many variations of the base release out there.
