ftp connection error

Post by wradmore »

I've just moved to a new site for my vp2 and did not update for 2 months. It is all working now apart from the ftp upload. I get the message - FTP Error: FTP component already connected
Aborting

I can access it via another ftp upload program si i know i have the right logon details.
Thanks
Warren

If you turn on ftp logging, the ftplog.txt file should show what's going on.

I've looked at the file and included it in the files below. I've checked my webspace ftp settings against my home hub to make sure the ip address is the same. They have changed the security settings of the webspace but my ip address is the same as the allowed one. Here is a copy from the webspace -

The ftp server is rejecting your login details (incorrect password, presumably):

09:30:45:359 >|331 User bradninchweather.info OK. Password required|

09:30:45:359 ! HighLevelAsync 0
09:30:45:359 FTP Command: PASS
09:30:45:359 02E362B0 TriggerDataSent 1472
09:30:50:843 FTP Response: 530 Login authentication failed
09:30:50:843 >|530 Login authentication failed|

09:30:50:843 FTP Connect Error, Error code = 530

Seems to be working on the 2nd attempt to connect at 10 minute intervals some times but some 10 minute intervals fail to upload. Also if I do a web update it does not work and says timeout. It used to let me do this. Here is the latest log showing sometimes getting through and sometimes not.
Thanks for your help

Of the two uploads at the end of the file, after the authentication problems, the 20:10 upload appeared to work, the one before at 20:00 returned ftp code 500, which is "internal server error".
